I must misunderstand the assignment, so I'm stuck

I understood it as "Define a function that squares the input then create a variable called result and call the function"

squaring.py 
def square(number):
    squared = number * number
    return squared

result = square(4)

Perhaps it's just a typo. The instructions say: "call your new function and pass it the argument 3", but the code above is passing 4 instead.

Then it seems to be a bug, bc it dosn't show 3 for me, I tried it with 3 and it works, but it shows 4

If your instructions for task 2 say to pass 4 as the argument, you might want to send a screenshot to the Support folks.
