I need help with " Start a Simple Web Server from Any Directory on Your Computer" I can not select a directory in termi

I can not work out how to use terminal to select a directory to host a web site server. In fact, I know nothing about terminal. Maybe someone has a link to a video or a good article to open my mole eyes :)
