32,885 PointsI published my first jQuery plugin ā simplebox.js
So, earlier this week, I published my first jQuery plugin and to my surprise, it has been received pretty well by the community (see links mentioned below). It feels really good when like-minded people appreciate your work. Here is the landing page I cooked up for the plugin: http://ratiksharma.com/simplebox.js/
I would love to hear what the students and teachers think about this. And to my fellow students who want to publish their work, I'd like to say (as Shia LaBeouf would): "JUST DO IT."
Cheers!

19,810 PointsCongrats, Rataik. You're kicking butt, man. :-)
The site looks great and the lightbox animation effect is great.
The feedback you got from George Coltart over at Developer News is spot on. I know you're going for the minimal thing, but you've got to add support for thumbnails.
Think about a photographer that has hundreds of photos with resolutions around 2000px wide per photo. You do not want to load a bunch of those images onto the page at full size. Imagine visiting that site on your phone. O.O
