I suggest creating a Drupal 8 course with "create your own module" chapter as well.
Right now we have a Drupal 7 course here in Treehouse with a "create your own module" chapter in the end. I think the very same should be done for Drupal 8, emphasizing its architecture, main aspects that use OOP, and API.
