JavaScript JavaScript Functions Pass Information Into Functions Create a max() Function

i used the hints but i can't seem to see where its wrong.

I got passed the first stage of this challenge eventually with a little sterring, i used the hints. to no prevail

function max (one, two) { {

} if (one > two) {
    return max;

} else {
  return two;

} }

console.log(max (20,6) );

Hi Lewis, you are pretty close on this one, instead of returning max you would want to return one in the first conditional. Also, when you construct a function, the parentheses should be right next to the function name, with no space: function max(num1, num2) {}. Here's my final solution which passed the test:

function max(num1, num2) {
  if (num1 > num2) {
    return num1;
  } else {
    return num2;
  }
}

console.log(max(20,6));
