I want to create an app using java, is that possible? How do I go about that?

I'm nearly done with the Intermediate Java track, and I just want to dip my toes in the process of making an app. Recommended courses I should take? I know that a lot of my questions will be answered by learning. I just want to know the best place to start! Thanks!

What kind of app?

You can make console apps (Which I am sure you have been doing), JavaFX appllication (Desktop apps) and android apps using Java. This is all I know you can make with Java.
