3,390 PointsI want to follow the next course without paying the Apple license
The license costs 99$ and I don't want to take it right now because right now I have nothing yet ready to be published. I want to see the next courses (about making other apps) but they are locked. That's not very fair : forcing people to buy a license when they just want to practice a little more.

Can you not just skip through those videos and carry on with the next courses?
I don't think there was much in those parts of the course, just basics on how to publish etc. But I can't remember how much you can do without signing up with Apple.
I paid mine over a year ago and haven't had any reminder to pay another and I dont think anything has been restricted.

9,078 PointsYou do not have to buy the license to keep watching the videos. You only have to buy the license to follow along and publish the app to your phone or the app store. Once you have watched the videos and completed the quizzes and challenges the next course will unlock and you can keep moving along the track.

24,793 PointsJust to clarify, without paying you can still develop most things. Only thing you can't do is deploy on your actual device.
You 'll want to buy one if:
In the last year of doing Objective C, I don't think I've really run into any other issues in the simulator that would prohibit development.
