I was able to make the correct phrase appear but it wants me to write the program a specific way. But what way?

I keep getting the bummer notification because I'm writing the code the wrong way even though i was able to make the correct phrase appear. What should i do?

You are not supposed to change the value of any of the variables, and you are not supposed to add any new conditions, only modify existing ones.

You have changed money from 9 to 5 and you have added the condition money < 10 to the last else if statement. If you undo those changes like this:

var money = 9;
var today = 'Friday'

if ( money >= 100 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time to go to the theater");    
} else if ( money >= 50 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner");    
} else if ( money > 10 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie");   
} else if ( today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out");   
} else {
  alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");
}

Then your code will be accepted.
