Maybe it would be helpful to outline the flow of actions at some point?
For example for adding a todo, from what I can tell it is:
- angular calls an add action (post)
- angular talks to express by sending a post request
- express calls Todo.create (which is express talking to mongoose)
- mongoose talks to mongodb to do a Todo.insert (assuming everything matches up okay with the model/object)
- success response or error is sent back through the chain
