If I jump ahead to a locked course on my track will it be credited when I backtrack?

Apologies if this has been asked, but I didn't find it on any of my searches.

It's credited as you finish it. It will show up as completed even though it might still be locked in a track.

Yes, if you decide to take a particular course, any progress made on that course will count in any track where that course is used.
