General Discussion

If I were to design a non-interactive yet animated eCard, what would be the best programming language to use?

Currently using Flash, but we would like to reach a broader audience. ECard would include music, image fade in/out, text fade in/out- simple animation. Current process is to have a static image in in the email with a hyperlink to the website to view card.

Thanks for any advice! steph

HI Stephanie,

Fade in/out image and text fade can easily be done with either CSS or Jquery. Simple animation can with CSS to. I think music works with html 5.

You can always HTML5 canvas and javascript if CSS is insufficient for what you are trying to do.

Here are some links for CSS http://www.w3schools.com/css/css3_transitions.asp http://www.w3schools.com/css/css3_animations.asp

Good luck

Thank you for your quick answer! I'm glad to hear that CSS will likely do the trick for this project.
