General Discussion

If on basic membership & switch to techdegree program will I have to retake previously finished courses for TD credit?

I am new to coding & want to take many courses to be proficient in the basics, which may take me a while, before switching into the more expensive Techdegree program membership. If I take & complete tracks (such as Web Design) on basic membership then switch to the Techdegree program & that program says some of the courses are ones I previously completed while on basic membership already, will I have to retake & re-complete them for the Techdegree program in order to get credit OR will my previous accomplishments count towards it?

Hi,

The Techdegree FAQ mentions that:

"Can I skip courses if I have previously completed them as a Treehouse student?

Yes, if you've already completed a course using the same Treehouse account, it will be marked completed in the Techdegree."

Hope it helps!

So if I'm on a basic membership I could complete all the courses / videos / quizzes listed in the degree and then 'Transfer' to the degree when I'm ready to do the degree-specific stuff?
