If we're using our own text editor would it still be better to host video/audio somewhere else?

If we're using our own text editor would it still be better (faster, more efficient, etc.) to host video/audio somewhere else? Or is it strictly because of the size limitations with workspaces, that we are doing it now?

You cant host video/audio in the normal way. you need to have a local server environment running on your pc to host files like that. Use a software like MAMP for that. It's great and it works perfectly for me. If i managed to help, mark my answer as the best
