if($name=="" OR $comp=="")){echo "ENTER VALUE FOR BOTH"; exit; Echoes the statement but mty value still posts to d DB.

if($name=="" OR  $comp=="")) {
  echo "ENTER VALUE FOR BOTH"; 
  exit;
}

Above code exits & stops processing other codes. The set statement is echoed out but a new line of an empty cell still posts to the DB leaving something like below:
