Illustrator Foundations

Team Treehouse is going to teach me Adobe Illustrator. "Every tool, every feature!" Hurrah!

I've used Illustrator before, here and there but it's a daunting tool and I never really got to grips with it the way I have with Photoshop!

May be presumptious of me at this stage but I have to say. Glad I'm putting my money into being part of this website! What are peoples experiences with this course? I'm interested to hear if people feel like they know Ilustrator after completing this part of the Web Design Track.

Cheers :)

I just finished this course yesterday and I have to say that I'm extremely happy that I went through it! I knew a little bit of Illustrator prior (I mainly just used the pen and shapes tools and the pathfinder panel), but that course exposed me to a lot of other tools/options and expanded my knowledge of the tools that I already knew. I'd have to say that I was mostly impressed by how useful the Effects, Appearance and Transparency panels can be and I finally understand how to use the mesh tool (which I could never really understand after reading through tutorials for some reason).

I'm sure there's plenty of more to learn, but the course does an amazing job covering the basics.

Yea I've had a lot of fun going through the first and second stages (the latter I've nearly completed). The videos definitely help me make sense of the application, more than I had even a few hours ago but I will need a further with the Pen Tool for sure. Sometimes the videos can go a little fast

Thumbs up so far though. :)
