i'm doing the task as needed and i don't get a V sign... WHY?

after creating the tags click the button that says check work, then click the the button on top left that says next task then put your content in between the tags and press check work.

So your tags are formatted correctly. The challenge wants you to put a little content in between the tags. So just type your name or something like that and that should complete the challenge. You got this!

i tried that.. still the same :( the task is: Start with an opening <h1> tag. Then, type the corresponding closing tag to close the element. For now, leave the space between the tags blank.

That is odd. I just tried the challenge and entered the following, which allowed me to continue to the next task :
