2,480 Pointshear is the answer. Button showFactButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.showFactButton);
i found the (R.id.showFactButton); from android studio. if you look at the place the place where it shows the design and the xmlns and at the bottom where it shows <Button it says android:id="@+id/showFactbutton".
