I'm having trouble adding two variables together to get a new variable with the two other variables added together.

''' var id = "23188xtr"; var lastName = "Smith";

var userName = id.toUpperCase += lastName.toUpperCase()); '''

I am having trouble adding my var id and var last name together in all uppercase. Can anyone help?

Here's a few hints:

  • you have a stray extra close parenthesis right before the semicolon
  • the first "toUpperCase" is missing the parentheses necessary to call it
  • you can't add to the function result (so use "+" instead of "+=")
  • the challenge also wants a "#" in between the two words
