I'm looking for more with AngularJS

I watched the Workshop with Mr. Hoskins and AngularJS. I love Angular now. Is there something on Angular where I can create my own API to pull data from a user created database? I would like to create an Angular App that will sort table data that was inputted from a form.

There's quite a bit of JavaScript (and probably JQuery) between what the current content covers and the pre-requisite knowledge for AngularJS
