I've always found that working along with the instructors worked for me, but you have to be careful to not just copy what they're doing, and really think about what you're writing! You may find yourself, as I have, getting to the end of a video and not understanding anything that was taught. I've had to re-watch a video, and/or try and experiment on my own for the concept to sink in. A decent mix of both was best for me, but everyone has their own learning style!
