I'm Stuck

I need help with this challenge, I need to raise a ValueError if the product_idea is less than 3 characters long. Thanks in advanced!

def suggest(product_idea): if product_idea < 3: raise ValueError("Your product name needs to be atleast three characters long") return product_idea + "inator"

Make sure you use the built in len function to retrieve the length of your string. Saying: if product_idea < 3 doesn't make sense, because you're comparing a string with an integer. However if you say: if len(product_idea) < 3 now you're comparing integers! :) ( Specifically the length of the string, which from what i gather is your goal here!).

You're now able to raise a ValueError, which you can call when you try/catch. Hope this helps, reply if you need any further assistance.
