I'm thinking about making an app storing app! What's your say!?

I'm the type of person that literally likes all my apps I download so I can't simply get rid of them, this simply goes on until I reach a point where my phone does not have any space left!

My idea is to have an app (or account) where you have online storage space (like drop box) where you can simply store your apps so you could ease the storage strain on your phone. If a good internet connection I could simply access the stored apps and use them.

When having apps stored online as well as on your phone I could access to even more apps and use them.

I'm currently a rookie (green as grass) at iOS and Android app development, but I would like to hear from you guys before I become a more experienced. I've already checked the app market and I could not find any app or sort, the closest I could find was Dropbox.

  • What's your say?
  • Is there anything like this already in the market? Let me know!!!!
  • Anything for me to learn or consider when the time comes?

Thanks!!

Love the enthusiasm! I would say that this technology exists to extent with iCloud on iPhone. You can use cloud-based storage to store anything (data, apps, etc.) and access it with an internet connection from your phone. As far as making an app for this, I don't think it's feasible. Even if the apps were stored online and not on your phone, you would still have to download them to access them, as I understand it.

Oh OK, thanks for letting me know! Its just that I'm excited about being capable of making apps that I'm already making ideas.

Since iCloud is there for iPhones, How about something for Android phones? Or is there something for Android already (DropBox?)? Since I'm also learning how to create Android apps.
