I'm trying to create an alert but getting syntax error instead

Some hints:

1) The alert should go after the max function (meaning after the last closing bracket)

2) To call the max function with values 10 and 5 you would use: max(10, 5)

3) To alert the result of the max function place the code from #2 between the parentheses of the alert function: alert(max(10,5))
