Can someone help me with my code.

app.js
var secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");

while (  secret == "sesame" ) {

}
  secret = prompt("That's not it! Try again");
}

document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

again, you haven't done, what the question have asked.

Remove the if statement and add a while loop, so that a prompt keeps appearing until the user types "sesame" into the prompt

if you simplify it further, you will have to only and only do 'Remove the if statement and add a while loop'

p.s - please do not overdo anything.

the question asks

'Remove the if statement and add a while loop'

if you only and only, would have had done, what the above asks, you'd get it right.

however, if you overdo your question, it will go wrong. (Not because, you have a javascript error, but you have jumped out of the scope of the question)

it tells me I have have a syntax error when I just add the loop.

please send me the amended code.

var secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");

while ( ) {

   }

secret = prompt("That's not it! Try again"); }

document.write("You know the secret password. Welcome.");

try this:-

var secret = prompt("What is the secret password?");

while ( secret !== "sesame" ) { secret = prompt("That's not it! Try again"); }

document.write("<p>You know the secret password. Welcome.</p>");
