You don't need to define the paragraph color. You need to set the text color within the .main-header block

@media (max-width: 1020px) {
  .main-header {
    background: tomato;
    color: white;
  }

Hi Gabriel,

In your media query you are asked to change the color of all the text inside .main-header class to white. In your code above, you are applying the rule for all p elements inside and outside the .main-header class though. You may want to use color property for the .main-header class instead.

So, it should look something like this for the first step of the code challenge.

@media (max-width: 1020px) {
    .main-header {
    background-color: tomato;
    color: white;
 }
}
