Image Cut Out / Over Laping DIV?

Hi All,

Sorry to be really vague but I am trying to figure out how people create this little triangle piece of an image remaining white the rest is not there.

I know this doesn't really make sense but for instance you can see it on the bottom of the hero section of www.tribalmedia.co.uk

can someone please suggest a way to gain this effect.

Thanks in advance

I have inspected the website through the console and seems to simply be an image situated within the main header Div. Its just been manipulated to not repeat and then positioned at the bottom through their choice of css.

This would be created in photoshop etc, I personally cannot think of a way this could be achieved through pure css.

Im not sure this counts as an answer but i thought i would have a look.
