Image search using Javascript and Jquery?

Hello I am looking to set up a way to show and hide images whose alt text corresponds with the text entered into the search field using javascript and jquery only. Does anyone know of any tutorials or other resources that would aid in doing this?

You could use a querySelector 

$('img[alt="SEARCHED TEXT HERE"]').
