Image Source

The image source won't work. Is it because I have the folder in my Pictures Library on my Windows 7 Computer.

So, I can't do it by simply keeping the image on my computer's desktop.

Precisely. You need to upload the image to your local environment (MAMP, XAMPP, etc) and provide the path of the file or provide the absolute URL to the image hosted via an online image hosting service.
