So on the very first part where you add your title and then go to the website to refresh it and see your title. I can't see that the website has changed at all. It's still just a blank page and I'm pretty sure i copied him word for word.

It's ok, we all have to start somewhere :) Just remember the <head> element, at the top of most HTML documents doesn't display on web pages (for the most part).
