HTML

In "How to make a website", I can go from the "index.html" page to the "about.html" page but not back again. Any advice.

<nav> <ul> <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li> <li><a href="about.html" class="selected">About</a></li> <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li> </ul>
</nav>

To fix this I has to change the "index.html" to "portfolio.html" on all 3 pages. Also i had to change all the other "index.html" reference to "portfolio.html". Then everything work as it should. Thank you for the help.

<nav>
<ul>
<li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
<li><a href="about.html" class="selected">About</a></li>
<li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
</ul>
</nav>

This looks correct so it must be something else going on. Just make sure things are spelled correctly and that the .html files are within the same folder on the same "level" as in not in different files else you would need to direct it properly.

thanks, this is the response i get when trying to go back to the "Portfolio" link, 'The requested URL /index.html was not found on this server.'. Should I contact Treehouse support?
