In html, does capitalization matter? Spaces between lines & indentation? Are these necessary or just good form?

When writing html, does capitalization matter? What about spaces between lines & indentation of lines? Are these things necessary or just good form?

I notice hitting return indents sometimes, but if I rewrite, should I make sure the indentation remains the same?

Its for good form so that it makes your code look neater and it will be easier to spot a mistake because everything is not squashed together.Capitalization is up to you, if you want to use it you can but if you dont want to use it you do not have to use it.

Thank you, Isna Rehman.
