WordPress WordPress Basics The WordPress Customizer Managing Menus

In the WordPress Basics course, I'm having trouble getting social media icons to appear in the Menu.

After following the instructions in the video and the theme documentation, I don't see any social media icons appearing as mentioned in the Managing Menus video.

I've double checked the URL, Navigation Label, and made sure the Social Links Media box is checked, and I've saved the content. However, neither Facebook or email icons are appearing in the Menu.

Any suggestions are appreciated. I'm at a loss as to what to even check.

Are you doing it local or in a workspace? if a workspace could you fork it and add the link here so we could check the code?

I'm doing it locally. Best I could do, as far as I know, is to take a few screenshots of the relevant portions.
