Including Stack Blur with JS

I am trying to include Stack Blur into a project. I need the timing function to not only delay 10 seconds, but I need it to have a duration of 3 seconds. As it is, it is instant.

Here is the code. Any advice?

Not sure if I'm following the effect you're going for. Could you put all your code up in a JS Bin or something?

Judging from your code, can I assume you're referring to this jQuery plugin - http://blurjs.com/ ?
