Index Of Page

hey guys..

I'm getting an "Index of /" page whenever I hit preview in workspace.

At first I thought it was because I didn't name the file index.html, but that didn't change anything. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

actually when I open a new workspace and add a new file page.html I get an index page and after renaming the page.html to index.html the problem is solved ... are you sure you renamed and saved correctly?

can you try again and see if the problem persists?

thanks a mil : )

I opened up a new workspace and changed the file, again, to index.html. I was doing the Relative Length Units exercise in the CSS course when I noticed the problem.

My question is..if the file must be named index.html..why are the project files we download named otherwise? :S

I guess it makes sense if you make such mini projects on your computer at home to name the html files something that corresponds to the lesson so that it is easier to identify them. if saved the folder on your computer and opened the html in a browser by for example double clicking on the file you wouldn't experience any problems. neither would you have difficulties if you opened the project in a codepen. these lessons were made before workspaces were introduced so the problem would not have occurred. I am not sure they are aware that you might run into trouble if you did just transfer the files into a workspace.

this is why I it might be helpful to let Guil or another team member know
