Individual Classes for button elements

I'd like to count the elements in my HTML (e.g buttons) and give them individual classes like "button_1", "button_2", etc. How shall I start?

The HTML of the buttons look like this

<button class="wpb_button  wpb_wpb_button wpb_regularsize">Click me!</button>

As I looked on other sources I found this one

jQuery(".wpb_button").each(function(i) {
    // Store an id with format "uniqueId_{index}" in a variable.
    var Class = "Button_" + i;
    // Give the ID to the div
    jQuery(this).attr("class", Class);
