initialize toast

I can't get the toast variable to initialize. I have the code

Toast allDoneToast = new Toast(this); allDoneToast.makeText(this, "All done!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG );

but I keep getting an error.

ToastTest.java
Toast allDoneToast = new Toast(this);
allDoneToast.makeText(this, "All done!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show();

Hi Jacquelynn,

Please change your code to the following:

Toast allDoneToast;
allDoneToast = Toast.makeText(this, "All done!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG);
allDoneToast.show();

Happy coding :)

Abdalla.
