Initiating Markdown

I've watched the video and know it's three 'backticks' and even googled it

(apparently it's the key besides the 1 on a qwerty keyboard)

I tried that and it didn't format as markdown. I'm missing something.. what am I missing?

so you are wanting to do something like this

System.out.println("markdown")

Definitely

So to do it make three back ticks at the top and three back ticks at the bottom of your code. for it to work and then to make it have the specific highlighting on the first three back ticks put the language you want it to have the highlighting for.

if its still not working let me know.

test.code

Thanks alex gwartney

not a problem glad you got it working

I'm just going to practice here!

def cake(x)
    return  x

Hooray! Thanks

No worries!

Couldn't figure it out for the longest time...
