Inside the form element, add an input with the type attribute set to the value "text"Don't add any other attributes yet.

Can someone help with this? I have tried so many options something must be missing in my code....

The task is asking you to add a type attribute to the input element, TreeHouse might throw an error if you added extra.

<!DOCTYPE html>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>HTML Forms</title>

    <form action="index.html" method="post">
      <input type="text" />

Good Luck!
