Internet Explorar 8 & 9 issue

Hi there! I've read a blog about Internet Explorer 8 & 9 supporting issue. In the blog i've found Internet Explorer 8 & 9 are no longer supported by Microsoft, they are migrating to IE 11 or Edge browser. Is it true? That means Web Designer & Developer don't need to be concerned for Explorer 8 & 9 supporting issue? Here are some links of this topics http://thenextweb.com/microsoft/2016/01/05/web-developers-rejoice-internet-explorer-8-9-and-10-die-on-tuesday/#gref https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/WindowsForBusiness/End-of-IE-support

I think the time for concern with IE 8 or 9 has passed. I work for a large company that is generally slow to upgrade, but we moved from IE 8 to IE 10 late last year.

At this point, I would consider the only exception to be development for a specific customer that requires that support in their specifications.

This is good info, because I've been beating the same drum, and repeating over that if your client is a big corporate client, they are slow to upgrade and they still might have some dinosaur WinXP machines that are stuck on IE8. Happy to hear you guys, and I'm sure others are upgrading slowly.

I'm not 100% sure if I'm correct, but, iv read an article where they said they will only support IE 10 from the new year or somethign like that. That means that all businesses like college or work or anyone in the planet earth, will need to upgrade to IE10 because the other versions woudl lose thier support whcih means things won't work.

So i think the era of the nasty IE is passing away. I'm not 100%, was time ago iv heared about it, somewhat.

IE 11 is the only supported version of Internet Explore as of Jan 12th of 2016.

You can read it directly from Microsoft.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/WindowsForBusiness/End-of-IE-support. The above statements are true though and depends strictly on a case by case basis depending on the company you work for and how they offer support.

That means i need not to be concerned about IE 8 & 9 browser support? That means i can use Flexbox, because Flexbox doesn't supported by IE 8 & 9.

That would be on a case by case basis. However, if going forward you strictly tell anyone you work for or do work for that you personally only work with the newest browsers etc. You should be safe. Though, you may find at some point that you across someone that needs support for an older browser but it is becoming less and less.
