Hello everybody it's nice to meet you. I am Alexander. It's a pleasure being here with such like minded individuals who are eager to learn programming. I hope to meet each and every one of you here on the forums. Please feel free to introduce yourself here in my thread always looking forward to meeting new people.
I am Alexander. Twenty Three. I am an I.T specialist for the government. (insert NSA spy joke here) I know a lot of programming already but like everyone else I am here to brush up on some new skills. Aswell as earn some badges.... Is it just me or is everything a lot funny when there is achievements involved.

Too right about knowledge, I can't get enough. I'm loving wordpress at the moment so am very depressed I've done it all on here and am gagging to learn more and more advanced things to improve my skills. Wordpress as a CMS is so powerful even if its not the easiest one to use.

652 PointsI learned the fundamentals of programming in the military. As part of my AIT. I knew some before I went in but they really gave me the knowledge to really look at a language and know how it works. Kinda like Music theory except for coding. Action script is by far the easiest language I have coded as well as .lua. both are beginner languages. I had a basic concept of java from when I was younger... One day I got curious on how Runescape worked went from there.
One of the main reasons I want to go over all of it again is because of the thrill of the achievements / point system. I find that incredible and always willing to help people learn (: Wordpress is a very nifty blogsite.
I am kinda sad that they do not have any python courses on here for programming! Hopefully in the future we can see some of them along with some more powerful languages such as C C# and C++

I am a high school science teacher, with beginner coding skills. I would like to learn lua for the purposes of home automation. My Z-wave controller uses Luup based on lua. Where would you suggest I start?
