Whats the difference between Ios with Objective C track and IOS with Swif?, Which one should I do first?

3,461 PointsHad this question myself. What I found from others was this:
- If you want a job at an app development company, learning both will help you since many apps have legacy Obj-C code and are transitioning to Swift over time.
- If you want to write apps independently, learning Swift will give you a fresh start with a fresh language that will be the standard bearer for Apple going forward.

3,461 PointsYou're welcome. Unfortunately, you'll need a Mac so you can write the apps using Apple's Xcode. Now, Apple announced today that Swift will be an open source language, so I'm not enough of an expert on what that means in relation to everyone's different computers. I know it's a big deal, but that's about it.
