iOS Design Patterns (Upcoming Course)

Hello Team Treehouse,

I have noticed in the Roadmap that there's an iOS Design Patterns class on the pipeline. When I clicked on it, the prerequisites were related to Objective-C. I was wondering if this course will also be oriented on Swift.

I am asking this because I don't really want to leave the Swift track and recap the Objective-C one which I did quite some time ago and for personal reasons I had to stop just to learn these Design Patterns. I am sure that they can be applied on Swift as well, it's just that the syntax will be a little confusing.

So, in a nutshell, I was wondering if there are any plans to bring this course for Swift as well sometime in the future. I believe this will help a lot of people into planning their track more adequately.

You're awesome as always!

Sebastian

Hey Sebastian Nitu,

Yes, most certainly. The reason we don't have a lot of this content yet is because patterns haven't been firmly established yet. Different people are doing things slightly differently. As concrete patterns emerge and syntax changes settle down, we'll be putting out a summary workshop.

I've been weaving a lot of the content into the existing track for now. Delegation is an important design pattern in iOS and the Swift track has a course on it already.

Pasan Premaratne Thank you very much for the reply! Sorry for bugging you so much lately :P
