iOS Simulator displaying all black

I just added the background image to the crstyal ball app and my simulator is displaying all black. I rearranged the layers and xcode says no errors along with my storyboard displaying how it should look. I tried copying the code from the supplied project files but for some reason the simulator still only displays an all black screen or the home screen when selected. Please help so I can move on!

Thanks!

sometimes it can take a couple of seconds for the simulator to load. Mine can sometimes take up to 10 seconds. Have you tried waiting just a bit? If waiting doesnt work, try creating a new project from one of the templates (such as the tabbed application) and see if the simulator will load that app.

After waiting over an hour still nothing, I will try the tabbed application template and see if that works.

Strange it seems the tabbed application loads fine any thoughts?
