iOS Windows

I have a windows computer but i want to do the iOS track what should i do as i can't download xcode?

First it is highly recommended to use a Mac computer, because software is only available for Mac. Second there are workarounds, just search the web for solutions. They mostly work as follows:

  1. Install a virtual machine
  2. Install a version of Mac OS X on that virtual machine
  3. Install Xcode and all its components in Mac OS X

For example take a look here, it is a little bit old but maybe still of worth. Also there is the possibility to write iOS apps outside of Xcode and Objective C (or Swift). Take a look here, although this won't help regarding taking the iOS track.

Hi, If you seriously want to learn iOS and are into software development, I would strongly recommend buying a mac pro, it won't just help you get through these courses but will definitively have a robust machine that will last many years.

In my humble experience, I think we have to do big sacrifices (i.e, $$ and time) and invest in tech that is proven to work to help us pursue our goals. You already have material to start with other platforms, so you got 50% of the resources in house.

Hopefully, the new generation of macs will be cheaper than the ones we had to initially buy:)
