ios , xcode issue, MainStoryboard

Hi all, After creating the crystallBall app and running it, I don't have in the left inside list the MainStoryBoard.storyboard file. Maybe it's an issue with version of Xcode? Any way I cannot find the storyboard. The version of Xcode is 4.6.3 on Mac x 10. 8.4 Thanks if you can help me back in the right way.

Don't use that file. That is something totally different. xib files are the old way of doing user interfaces. I can't tell you what all is different because I've never used xib files. If you intend to follow along with the project I highly recommend you add a storyboard instead. Go to File > New > File... you'll get a dialog box, choose "User Interface" make your selections and fill in the necessary information. Once you have the storyboard in your navigator, click your app name so that the project settings appear, it should look like this

this screen

in the field where it says "Main Storyboard" enter the name of the storyboard you just created. You should now be ready to go using storyboards.

P.S. I think the reason you got a xib instead of a storyboard may be that you did not check the "Use Storyboards" box when creating your new project. If you forget to do this in the future you can add storyboards in the method I described above.

Thank you Patrick Cooney, I finally found it, because of a light difference due to the version of Xcode, it was unchecked in the "create new project " window. Thank you for your advices.

Update: after turning around I found it, it' s called " ViewController.xlb" instead of " MainStoryBoard.storyboard" apparently a different version of Xcode...
