Is 13-inch laptop good for web design/development?

Hi

I don't know if any of you tried a laptop with 13-inch for doing web design/development work? Anyone has tried that? Is it OK or is it difficult for making web design in because of the small screen?

Cheers

I actually do a lot of my web development work on an 11in Macbook Air and I don't have any problems with it. If it's too small, you could also hook up a 2nd monitor.

could you put a screenshot? I want to see how it appears on 11in. But I want to buy 13in would it be better?

Here's a screenshot with Sublime Text open

If you got a 13in, it would definitely be more comfortable than an 11.

My main development computer is a 13" Mac BookPro, and I've been fine with it. When I'm at my desk, I dock it to a 23" monitor and use both at the same time.

We have a 13" in our office that we use quite a lot. The resolution is more important than the screen size. As long as it's high enough (>1024px) then you'll be fine.

This appears to be an old thread, but I figured I would add my 2 cents. I use a 13 inch Macbook air, but I often have it hooked up to a 27inch monitor, but I don't have much of a problem with working on the laptop either. That said; I would recommend buying the 15 inch Macbook pro if you're not going to purchase an external monitor.
