Is 'How to Make a Website' a replacement for HTML deep dive?

Hi

Can a new user ignore HTML deep dive and go with How to Make a Website only to learn HTML?

Hi Suli S,

"How to Make a Website" will eventually replace the projects "Build a Simple Website" and "Build a Responsive Website". When we're ready to retire those older projects, we'll likely give 30-days advance notice.

It is not a replacement for the HTML Deep Dive. :)

Hope that helps!

Hi Nick,

I am currently in the Web Design track but am not that far into it yet. Would it be a good idea to go through the "How To Make A Website" project first, then work my way through the Web Design track, skipping over the "Build A Simple Website" and "Build A Responsive Website" projects? Just wondering if the new project is more up to date technologically speaking than the two you mentioned above. Advice?

Hi Shawn McKnight,

Yes, I recommend you go through "How to Make a Website" instead of the two older courses. It's more up to date, and I think you'll enjoy it more anyway. :)

Great, I'll do that! Thanks!
