Is it a good practice using only ems and percentages for build a web design?

I want to do my portfolio but when i was thinking how to make it responsive i had this question.

I basically do. Very little stuff do I set in pixels anymore. Things like borders I still do. Otherwise I use percentages, rem's or em's.

W3 Consortium recommended to use Em.

Yes Ems it can be difficult to understand how Ems work at first.
