Is it more efficient this way? Copying and pasting the <ul></ul> tags in html seems more simpler to me.

Is it a good practice to do this? With the javascript we need to make a new js file and then make new variables and functions, I think it makes it more complicated (?)

With javascript you can creat and delete html elements dynamically. It´s a flexible option for you´r website to interact with the user.
