Is it possible to access and import data from Messages?

I want to build an app that pulls out information (texts etc) from the Messages app on iPhone. Is that possible? Does it violate Apple guidelines?

You cannot pull out information from the messages app, at least not using Apple's APIs.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you see any way of achieving this programmatically? Will this incase violate Apple guidelines?

Like I said there is no Apple API for accessing it which means that if you were to then it would automatically violate Apple's terms and conditions. Moreover, your app would be rejected from the app store. For these kinds of apps Android is certainly the better platform.
